BIO
Oriana Majoli nasce nel 1979 al sud Italia,
in provincia di Salerno.
Si dedica presto, da autodidatta, al disegno e alla pittura
fino agli anni dell’università, con un particolare interesse
per la ritrattistica e il nudo, che ha rappresentato
e rappresenta una costante nella sua ricerca fotografica.
Affianca la fotografia digitale a quella analogica,
allestendo uno studio di posa e sviluppo personali.
La camera oscura la porta a dare vita ai primi progetti su pellicole di medio formato bn e a colori e si fa veicolo di una passione
tanto travolgente, da condizionare ossessivamente tutto il resto.
Il pensiero, così come il campo visivo,diventa metastaticamente fotografico e si alimenta di una insaziabile curiosità,
soprattutto artistica: dall'Arte figurativa alla musica,
passando per la letteratura, il cinema e le Harley Davidson d'epoca.
Dopo diversi brevi “racconti” in digitale, si conclude nel 2017,
a tre anni dal primo scatto della serie, il progetto LVMEN OBSCVRA,
seguito dal De Profundis(2018),

dal lavoro intitolato NIHIL(2019),

BIO
Oriana Majoli was born in 1979 in southern Italy, in the province
of Salerno.
She soon devoted herself to drawing and painting, up to her university days with a particular interest in portraiture and nude, which represent a constant in her photographic research.
Supports both digital and analogue photography, setting up a studio for personal installation and development.
The dark room leads her to give life to the first projects on
medium format black&white and color films, and begins a passion
so overwhelming as to obsessively condition everything else.
The thought, as well as the visual field, becomes metastatically photographic and feed on an insatiable curiosity, especially artistic: from figurative Art to music, passing through literature,
cinema and vintage Harley Davidson.
After several shorts stories in digital, it ends in 2017,
three years after the first shot, the project LVMEN OBSCVRA,
followed by De Profundis(2018),
the project polaroid PERSONA(2019)
the work entitled NIHIL(2019),
the polaroid project TESTAE(2020)
the video-photographic project In Sanguine(2021)
the polaroid project RESURGO(2022)
and the video-photographic work intĕr īmus (2023).
