“Persona” in latino significava propriamente “maschera teatrale”, a testimoniare che la vera identità di ogni individuo è sempre nascosta sotto una maschera. La maschera è una scelta, ma spesso anche una necessità perché, per sopravvivere alle ferite del rifiuto, dell’abbandono, dell’umiliazione, del tradimento e dell’ingiustizia, che gettano un’ombra scura sulla nostra vita, si reagisce indossando delle maschere e provando così a non rivivere quel dolore.

La serie “Persona” è stata realizzata con pellicole Polaroid manipolate successivamente con l’uso di sostanze naturali per ottenere granulosità e sfumature nei toni del giallo.

"Persona" in Latin actually meant "theatrical mask", testifying that the true identity of each individual is always hidden beneath a mask. The mask is a choice, but often also a necessity because, in order to survive the wounds of rejection, abandonment, humiliation, betrayal and injustice, which cast a dark shadow over our lives, we react by wearing masks, thereby trying not to relive that pain.

The "Persona" series was created with Polaroid films that were subsequently treated with natural substances to obtain graininess and shades of yellow.
